Chung-Yung

Chung-Yung
   The eighth of the nine authoritative works on Confucianism.
   The name means ‘Doctrine of the Mean’; it is in fact chapter xxxi of the Li-Ki and with its commentary is regarded as the most complete account of Confucian philosophy, and is said to have been done by the grandson of the Master himself. The preceding work is the Ta-Hsuch and the following work is the Meng-Tsze.
